Tom McCormick, Chairman

Tom McCormick is owner of Duneland Fine Homes, a custom home builder. He is the treasurer and a board member of the Barker Welfare Foundation, is married to Katherine and has two children: Jennifer and Ryan.

Rachel Saxon, Vice-Chair

Rachel Saxon has spent the last 25 years working for Horizon Bank, where she is currently President and Senior Trust Officer of Horizon Trust & Investment Management. She has served as a director on multiple not-for-profit boards in Michigan City.

Joshua Moran, Treasurer

Joshua Moran is the director of Avenue Family Center. He holds a bachelors degree from Olivet Nazarene University, and he lives in Michigan city with his wife and son.

Amy Penrod, Secretary

Amy Penrod has 17 years experience in social service agencies and is currently an Assistant Director of Client Services with Indiana's Protection & Advocacy Services (IPAS) Commission. She is an active member of Advancing Christ Kingdom Ministries-Michigan City and Co-Chairperson for The Garner Foundation.

Michael Bergerson

Michael is a lifelong resident of Michigan City, where he lives with his wife Kia and son Rory. He is a graduate of DePauw University and Notre Dame Law School, and is an attorney at Winston & Strawn LLP in Chicago.

Yolanda Davis

Yolanda a lifelong resident of La Porte County, and is the Community Reinvestment Act Officer for Horizon Bank. She is actively serving on several boards in the community.

Lila Hakim

A life-long resident of Michigan City, Lila Hakim is a retired elementary school teacher from Michigan City Area Schools. She is on the board of directors of the Islamic Center of Michigan City and in charge of the Women's Auxiliary of the Center.

 
Dan Mallon

Dan Mallon, a native of Michigan City, has worked in the social services field for nearly 25 years as a therapist specializing in substance abuse and child development. He has taught at the college level for 15 years and is currently teaching at Ivy Tech in the Human Services Program.

Toni Mandeville

Toni Mandeville is a lifelong Michigan City resident. She has an Associate degree in Human Services, and a certification in Substance Abuse from Ivy Tech, and is currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Substance Abuse at Indiana Wesleyan college. She is also a certified facilitator of Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), and a Police Assisted Addiction Recovery Initiative (PAARI) Angel. She has dedicated her life to helping the disenfranchised, those who battle the disease of addiction, and their families.

Willie Milsap

Willie Milsap, a long-time resident of Michigan City, is currently a member of the LaPorte County Council. He was previously an alderman of Michigan City.

Gene Simmons

Gene Simmons, is a lifelong resident of Michigan City married to Linda with three children: Monica, Brian and Brittany. He is a Viet-Nam veteran, has a Bachelor Degree in Supervision, formerly was Michigan City’s Police Chief and is currently Manager of Security at Blue Chip Casino.
