VETERANS SERVICES

CCH is proud to offer start offering Veteran Services to our most vulnerable nation’s heroes. CCH offers:

  • 1010 EZ Veteran eligibility documentation
  • Transportation Assistance to VA Facilities
  • Assistance in Navigating VA Claims
  • Assistance with Obtaining Discharge paperwork
  • Referral Services to shelters, permanent housing facilities, VA domicilliary programs
  • Assistance filling out HUDVASH

JOB PREPERATION AND RETENTION PROGRAM

EFFECTIVE APPLICATIONS RESUME BUILDING, COVER LETTERS INTERVIEWING TECHNIQUES, AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION

The Job Preparation and Retention Program is available every month. Seating is limited. Classes are 4 days over 2 weeks, Mondays and Fridays from 9AM-12PM.

Successful Completion results in a $50.00 Gift Card for Interview Attire.

Grace Learning Center News

Grace Learning Center (GLC) is located next to Sand Castle at 1007 West 8th Street

Recent Activities

  • The first group of reading tutors have been trained and tutoring sessions are ongoing;
  • Through a partnership with A.K. Smith, GLC is providing tutoring to those wanting to get their GED;
  • Through a partnership with PNC Bank, workshops are conducted regularly on fiscal matters such as how to prepare a household budget and understanding the basics of personal banking.
  • Ongoing computer workshops provide one-on-one training in computer basics.

Thanks to those community members who have donated equipment, books, supplies and toys for our child care room.
